The speaker, Dr. Ryan Hodnick conducts EMS airway management workshops throughout the USA. He is an air-Q user in his practice. Emergency Physicians and EMS clinicians across the country and around the world are evaluating laryngeal mask airways vs the gold standard King Tube Cuff devices.

Supraglottic airways have evolved beyond the combitube with more and more devices available in the field today. They can be very powerful tools in the management of airways both in the field and the hospital in well trained hands. With so many available devices it can be a task for an agency to decide which device to use. This webcast will explore the role that supraglottic airways play in prehospital airway management as well as discuss the commonalities between devices as well as the differences. Tips and tricks for better supraglottic airway management will be discussed.

He is active clinically working shifts at all of the New Mexico and Colorado bases.He also serves as Medical Director/Prehospital Physician for the Artesia, New Mexico Fire Department, Santa Fe County, New Mexico Fire Department and as the Assistant Medical Director for Med Flight Air Ambulance in Albuquerque, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas.Additionally, he serves as an Event Physician /Paramedic at Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nevada (second largest rave in the world), Burning Man, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, South Dakota, and NASCAR in Las Vegas, Nevada.
