Congratulations to our iPad mini winner, Tom Mollenkopf who entered our competition while attending the 2015 Victorian Lifesaving Championships over the weekend (28-29/03/2015).

RAPP Australia Pty Ltd is happy to announce that we will be attending the 2015 Victorian Lifesaving Championships where Lifesavers from around Victoria will converge at Ocean Grove SLSC to compete for the State Glory in March.

Events will include traditional lifesaving activities such as Surf Boats, R&R, plus the Ironman and Ironwoman events. Other water events will include the Surf Race, Surf Board Race and Surf Ski races. There will also be land based events such as flags, springs and the 2km run.

RAPP Australia Pty Ltd will be giving away an iPad mini (Space Grey 16GB) to one lucky winner on Saturday, 28^th of March at 3:00pm to anyone who comes and visits our tent on the day and enters the draw to win. This weekend we will be displaying our new range of Mercury Medical Disposable CPR BVM’s.

This conference is being held in Melbourne at Pullman Melbourne on the Park, East Melbourne.

RAPP Australia will give conference participants the opportunity to view and explore the latest in resuscitation equipment and training materials.

The scientific content of the program promises to deliver the latest resuscitation science and importantly its translation to resuscitation practice, thereby strengthening each of the links in the “chain of survival“.

Last week our sales representative from RAPP Australia Pty Ltd went to the state Australian Vet Association Annual Conference, which was held at the RACV Torquay Resort, Torquay from Friday, 13^th March – Sunday 15^th March 2015.

Conference highlights included:

• Cardiotherapeutics in cats and dogs – Dr Mark Rishniw
• Zoonoses – can a coughing cocky make you crook? – Dr Trish Stewart
• Heavy breathing and matters of the heart – Dr Marjorie Milne
• Resuscitation: Bringing them back from the brink – Dr Elise Boller.

The Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) brought together more than 150 veterinarians, vet nurses and industry professionals to learn the latest techniques in treating cardiorespiratory disease.

This was a wonderful experience for RAPP Australia to possibly expand its future client base from not only humans but maybe to animals as well.

Did you happen to spot our Victorian & Tasmanian Sales Representative, Mark Holland, from RAPP Australia in the ‘be entertained’ section of the Albury Wodonga News Weekly paper last week, Wednesday, 18^th February, 2015?

They loved him so much they showed him twice! Once holding up an ‘Defibrillator Carry Case’ (red kit) and the other photo awarding Darin Fitzsimmons from Wodonga Diamonds Football Club with a Stocked NEANN Sports Trauma Equipment Kit (green kit) valued at $495.00.

It was for an Exhibition we were sponsoring in the 2015 Sports Club Management Expo (SCME – http://aw.scme.org.au/exhibitors/) in Australia, which is a non-profit, volunteer-run organisation based in Sydney. They are the market leaders in annual conferences and workshop events for grassroots clubs across Australia, providing a unique forum where sports clubs and businesses can interact.

As part of NEANN’s ongoing support of the Victorian Lifesaving Helicopters, we are very pleased to be able to assist the helicopter teams with a donation of four Flight Despatcher Kits.

Custom designed and made in Lara, these kits house the equipment needed inside the helicopter that is required to help get the lifesaver to the location with what they need.

We know these kits will be put to good use every time the helicopters take off to assist someone in need in Victoria.

Gippsland Acute Care Symposium

Held on the 27^th & 28^th November 2014

RAPP Australia was excited to attend the Rural Matters Gippsland Acute Care Symposium Conference held at the Federation University Gippsland Campus, Churchill.

This year’s discussion was regarding the management of acutely ill patients, focusing on issues peculiar to the rural setting.

This provides the local rural health professional the opportunity for education, networking and being able to view the latest equipment through the trade display.

Our favourite guest speaker for the day was Anna Brown from the Austin Hospital, Melbourne, Victoria whom did a wonderful job speaking about the Management of Spinal Injury in a Rural Setting.
