who are we ?

Firelogistics is a division of RAPP Australia Pty Ltd, a private family owned company. RAPP Australia Pty Ltd currently operates four Divisions.    Defence, Health, Fire Fighting and Mountaineering/Outdoor recreation.  We have three main brands, NEANN, Firelogistics and Outgear.   

Our companies roots did not start with firefighting equipment.  The companies original  founder back in 1981 spent three months backpacking and cycling in Tasmania.  Prior to taking this journey of a life time, several  backpacking/cycling products were purchased, to make the trip a little easier.  However none of them survived the harsh Australian outback environment.  This caused Roger Buckle, a nurse by training, to  become the reluctant founder of the brand Outgear. Determined to make quality products that would not let their owners down, the brand quickly boomed by  developing a reputation for building functional, high quality products. 

24 years later RAPP Australia Pty Ltd now is manufacturing broader range of products and supplying it into markets that depend upon the type of quality Outgear was made famous for.  Our Firelogistics division now manufactures,  exports,  imports and distributes a  broad range of fire fighting products. 

The Firelogistics division was born due to a demand found amongst firefighters for quality innovative designs that would withstand the rigours of the Australian Summer fire season.  Since the early days we have expanded the range due to our customers asking for solutions to their equipment needs.  It has been an evolutionary process.  .

Owing to our success and commitment to quality we have been requested by many different companies to represent and promote their products.

We are a company based in rural Victoria, as such we support our staff who are volunteers in the emergency services, particularly the Country Fire Authority.  Our company policy is to continue to pay their wages when they are servicing our community, we naturally expect a sensible approach to this policy by our staff.  We are proud of our staff and the work they do. Our volunteers range from our production staff, sales and even the Managing Director.  We want them to come home safe, and this is part of our motivation to making and supplying great products.

In 2001 one of our family members and a director of company died from Leukaemia, aged 39,  leaving 2 little girls aged 3 and 6 without a mum. In memory of her and as a policy every year we sponsor any of our staff and fire and emergency service friends in the Great Emergency Service Head Shave, a fund raiser for research into this devastating disease.  Here is a link to the Leukaemia foundation web site.
